With the holidays coming up, now is the perfect time to start thinking about how to make a card to give to loved ones. That’s where Joy Wilson comes in!

Joy will be presenting Card Creations with Joy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7 in the library’s large meeting room. Participants will follow along as Joy helps them create cards for special occasions. Registration for this adult program is required and begins Monday, October 24. Space is limited.

The leaves are turning and the wind is brisk, so that means it’s time to break out – or make – your fall decorations.

Join Miss Rachel for Craft Party at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10 in the library’s large meeting room. She will show you step-by-step how to create a harvest wheat candle holder and a fragrant apple pie decoration.

Flu season is here. Learn all about the seasonal fly with Wyandot County Public Health’s The Flu and You program at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9 in Upper Sandusky Community Library’s large meeting room.

At this kid-friendly event you’ll learn the ins and outs of influenza, the flu virus. You’ll learn the steps to protect yourself and your loved ones from flu and practice hand washing. Plus, hear all about this year’s fly vaccine.

“The Weight of a Moment is a beautiful story about the fragility of life and the redemptive power of friendship.” The discussion will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15 in the library’s large meeting room.

Upper Sandusky Community Library welcomes author and illustrator Michelle Houts at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 17 in the library’s large meeting room as part of Title 1 Family Night.

Houts is an award-winning author of a dozen books for young readers ranging from picture books to middle grade novels. Everyone is welcome to attend this presentation and learn more about the exciting and creative world of writing and illustrating.
