Are you ready to dive into the world of e-books and digital audiobooks, but feel like you’re barely treading water trying to learn? Join library assistant Krystal Smalley for Learning Libby, a program that teaches the fundamentals of the library reading app.

Come armed with your e-book reader or smartphone and your library card then meet your new best reading friend – the Libby app! Attend the program in-person at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2 in the library’s large meeting room.

Spring is officially here, and Wyandot County Public Health is ready to celebrate with a program on gardening at 6:00 p.m. on April 6 at the Upper Sandusky Community Library in the large meeting room.

Gardening supports a healthy mind and body with opportunities for exercise and relaxation, fresh air, vitamin D, and a chance to grow healthy foods on your own.

Holistic Healing

Get in touch with nature and healing at Holistic Healing, a program focused on nurturing yourself with nature.

Library staff Patti Davidson and Jenny McKee will show attendees how to make homemade bath salts and calendula salve. Samples will be available. Holistic Healing will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 in the library’s large meeting room. Space is limited and registration is required. Sign up for the program begins Monday, April 4 at the library or call 419-294-1345 to reserve a spot.

Common Readers will be reading “Be Frank with Me” by Julia Claiborne Johnson in April.

“Full of heart and countless only-in-Hollywood moments, ‘Be Frank With Me’ is a captivating and heartwarming story of an unusual mother and son, and the intrepid young woman who finds herself irresistibly pulled into their unforgettable world.”

The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 in the library’s large meeting room.

Kids Can Cook: Banana Snacks

Get in on the program all kids love to do. Kids Can Cook, run by Youth Services Coordinator Jill Stansbery, is a program that teaches children basic cooking skills.

For April, kids will learn how to make a variety of snacks using bananas, such as a banana boat and banana mug cake. Kids Can Cook is intended for students in grades K-5. The hour-long program will be offered at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21. Space is limited and registration is required. Sign up for the program begins Monday, April 4.
