The Heritage Room has Wyandot County and Upper Sandusky newspapers from 1845 to present. We also have census records, area church records, court records, marriage licenses, births, deaths, and coroner's inquest records on microfilm. To explore these resources, we have two microfilm readers with printers. We also provide a number of online databases to help streamline the research process.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library Board of Trustees holds its regular meetings on the second Thursday of every month at 12:00 p.m. in the library's board meeting room in the basement. The meetings are open to the public.

The Friends of the Library group exists to support the Upper Sandusky Community Library by fundraising and sponsoring programs while promoting literacy and a love of learning. A few of the projects that the FOL are involved with include: an annual book sale held at USCL; the Born to Read program, which provides books for the newborns at Wyandot Memorial Hospital; Homebound Delivery Service for our patrons who cannot physically get to the library; and the Secret Santa Shop for children in December.
On April 19, 1912 the Usando Literary Club donated $25.00 for a library fund with money that was raised by members who went door to door promoting the need for a public library. On November 19, 1914, the Carnegie Public Library was dedicated. An addition to the building was completed in June 1964.
Ground-breaking for the new library was held on April 16, 1985, and one year later, on April 19, 1986, books and equipment were moved in from the old building. The Upper Sandusky Community Library was opened to the public on April 24, 1986, and dedicated on November 28, 1986.
Who may obtain a library card?
Ohio residents five years of age and older are eligible to obtain a card at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Borrowers have access to books, audiobooks, magazines, e-books, movies on DVD and Blu-Ray, and online research databases. Patrons under the age of 18 may be restricted from checking out materials by their parent/guardian initialing the back of the minor’s library card. Restriction options include:
