Get your family outside to stretch their legs, read a book, and solve a puzzle with Coded StoryWalk®.

The book for March is “The Squeaky, Creaky Bed” written by Pat Thomson and illustrated by Niki Daly. “Once there was a little boy who loved to visit his grandparents. But he couldn’t fall asleep in the squeaky, creaky bed at their house. Grandfather thought a little cat would help. Or a little dog. Maybe a little pig? Soon the bed was very full, but it was still squeaky and creaky. Would the little boy–and all his new friends–ever be able to fall asleep?”

Before you begin your walk, stop by the library’s front desk and pick up a Coded Tales worksheet. As you walk from business to business, each page will be marked with a letter that should be written on the worksheet. When you finish the story, you will have spelled out a special message that you can return to the library to receive a prize.

The Coded StoryWalk® begins at the Upper Sandusky Community Library and continues in the windows of the following businesses: A Cut Above, Corner Inn, SURGE, Neumeister’s Candy Shoppe, A.J.’s Heavenly Pizza, Johnson Orthodontics, D’s Cuts, Seitz Financial Services, Community First Bank, First Citizens National Bank, Woven Yoga, Woods’ Antiques N More, Richardson Flower, and Brick Alley Market.
