Do you have a favorite reading genre but no one to talk about it with? Then make way for the Inglorious Bookworms Book Club. Each month the book club will feature a different genre that you can dive into or skip.
The Inglorious Bookworms will be reading “Old Man’s War” by John Scalzi in August. “John Perry did two things on his 75th birthday. First he visited his wife's grave. Then he joined the army. The good news is that humanity finally made it into interstellar space. The bad news is that planets fit to live on are scarce-- and alien races willing to fight us for them are common. So: we fight.”
Copies of the book are available at the library and can be requested at the front desk. It is also available as an ebook on Libby.
The discussion will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24 in the library’s large meeting room. If you prefer to attend virtually, register here.
