If a fork cuts into a pie with a diameter of yummy inches, how long will it take to reach your mouth?
If you determined the answer to be an absolutely scrumptious Baked “Pi Day” Contest, you’d be right! Join the Upper Sandusky Community Library for a mathematically-inclined pie contest on Tuesday, March 14, a.k.a. Pi Day.
Submit your baked pie for judging at 6:00 p.m. and wait to see which one our judges, respected local math teachers and pie lovers, will determine to be the pinnacle of pie success. The pies, which must be made from scratch, will be judged on overall appearance, crust, and taste.
While the pies are being judged, John Charlton of Bread, Butter and Beyond will share insights and tips for a perfect pie crust starting at 6:30 p.m.
The winner of the contest will be awarded the Silver Server, an engraved pie server. Adding to our delectable night, you don’t have to submit a pie to attend – you can learn about pie crusts and sample the various pies after judging!
